data & information - dati e infomazioni

I nuovi media offrono altre strade. Come spiega Eli Goldratt.

It seems difficult to overcome a fierce competition. At least it is using the old tools like discount, advertising, gifts and so on. Actually that is not the best way to compete. New media offer new strategies.  What people need the most today, or require the most, are information, which are different from data as Eli Goldratt explain. Data are the huge unfiltered quantity of facts and figures that daily hit us on the face. Information are qualified data that help us to take easily and quickly decisions.
This is why the strategy suggested by David Hansson, founder of 37signals, and quoted by Cristina Mariani, seems to work: if you can out-spend, out-teach. That simple. Help you (potential) customers teaching them, providing them with information, not just data that will bother them.
Could you position yourself as an expert in your segment? Are you able to teach? It could be cooking recipes, strategic approach, problem solving techniques, anything suits to your business. The maxi-screens in Apple Stores continuously offer tips to use in a better way iPod, iPad and MacBook.
Any ideas how to teach your readers?
